New Stuff from Tigers that Talked

'Holy Saturday, Gloomy Sunday' is three songs in one, moving from an uptempo, handclap-laden pop song into a waltzing lament, and from there into a furiously fast, thunderous finish.

Help? any ideas?

Any bloggers have any ideas?

I usually edit my text under the "html" tab. I've noticed since I got windows 7 if I try to type paragraphs it still pushes it all together. It looks good here as I type, but once I publish it is all put together..any ideas?

Thanks

***update***
I think it has to do with me typing my posts elsewhere then cutting and pasting here. Sorta a hassle for the other blog I do...ahh well I'll manage for the 2-3 readers.

Abbe May - Design Desire Cool stuff from "down under"

Cool Artist Alert! With a growing reputation as an intense and exciting live performer, Abbe May has created her own moody, guitar driven sound over the last four years. Displaying an exciting ability that has come together in stunning style, Abbe May has spent the past two years writing and recording her forthcoming album "Design Desire". Attracting comparisons to everyone from Portishead to Patti Smith, the music Abbe creates provides a unique soundscape of crunching guitars with a seductively haunting vocal. Her album "Design Desire" is due for release mid-year and is already one of the most anticipated releases amongst genre-bending tastemakers. The first single "Mammalian Locomotion" grabbed the attention of Australian and international media including Triple J, Spinner.com, KCRW (LA) and Rolling Stone. The second single (and the album's namesake) "Design Desire" adds the next chapter. The single is an electrical surge of scaling guitar riffs, coupled with Abbe's multi layered, softly seductive vocals, "Design Desire" is brimming with sexual energy and attitude. The video clip, directed by UK based Zena Loxton and filmed in a dried lake near Gin Gin in Western Australia, perfectly captures the duality that is Abbe May and provides yet another glimpse of the artist that will be revealed with the full "Design Desire" release later in 2011. Check out her video right here. The intro alone is great, you should be hooked right away! Official site is here as well as myspace

Imaginary Cities to open for the Pixies on North American Tour

Canadian indie-soul-pop group Imaginary Cities have just been confirmed as support on the entire North American tour for legendary, alt-rock muses, the Pixies. The twenty-one date “Doolittle Tour”is the Pixies’ most extensive tour across Canada and includes three U.S. dates in Detroit, Milwaukee, and St. Paul.

Although Imaginary Cities have been performing together for less than a year, they have already played alongside the likes of Ra Ra Riot, the Weakerthans, The Dears, Young Galaxy and The Besnard Lakes. In addition, the band recently delivered praiseworthy and packed performances at Canadian Music Week and SXSW.

The band is praised for having a lot of fun on stage and strong vocals.

This will be Imaginary Cities’ first tour in support of their debut album Temporary Resident, released by Hidden Pony Records on February 22nd. The band has been claimed “The Best Of What’s Next” by Paste Magazine and in Canada have garnered national media praise from the likes of The Globe and Mail and The National Post in week of release features. They have also topped two college radio charts, marking the first time ever that a band’s album has climbed to the top spot on the Chartattack National Chart before it has even been released.

Winnipeg-based Imaginary Cities is comprised of vocalist Marti Sarbit and multi-instrumentalist Rusty Matyas (who has worked with the Weakerthans and Waking Eyes) and augmented by a powerful trio of keys, drums and bass to round out their live sound. The composing duo met while Sarbit was performing in a soul cover band, which explains her soaring bluesy vocals.

Imaginary Cities are confirmed to perform on CBC Radio 1's massive morning show program, "Q" on April 8, 2011. "Q" airs across North America on PRI and on Sirius Channel 137. Check out a great acoustic performance by Imaginary Cities right
