To Facebook or not?

I am torn..i haven't signed up for any "social networking sites" ever. My 20th High School Reunion is coming and I guess there is all sorts of activity on Facebook. I am really torn. I sorta don't want to..but i want to.

You are talking to a person that has never sent a text message either.

Then again, I was the first of my friends to have HDTV an iPod et all..so I an early adapter for some things....

Well I'm on facebook. It's not bad as social networks go. But I definitely don't spend alot of time on it and I was just now thinking maybe I should deactivate it because it just seems to be another place I have to keep up with. But it does have its benefits.

Oh my gosh! I thought I was the only person who had never sent a text. However, I am on Facebook and love it! Come on, March, everyone else is doing it...

I'm not on facebook either. I don't think i'm missing out on anything, but I could be wrong.

as far as reunions go Don't Do It!
I just had my 20 come up as well and passed on the opportunity to see all those people I haven't seen or spoken to in years. I don't see the point to it. In fact the night of my reunion i was at Sigur Ros with you.

Do it...get a Facebook. As I have shown you already, half the fun of Facebook is stalking other people. haha

For our Mr Sea,

On Facebook: Good Stuff. Great networking.
On Texting: I do it all the time but could actually live without it.
On Class Reunions: Be Afraid, be very, very Afraid.

I don't do Facebook (or MySpace, but you faithful readers know that already). If you don't mind being found, go for it. But some of us don't like being found. You dig?

I've never texted, but I am on Facebook & MySpace. I never check MySpace because it is so ugly, but Facebook isn't bad.

As for reunions - we went 13 years without a reunion, so I decided to throw one. We had a decent crowd and everyone got drunk and had a great time. 15th reunion - even better. Now, I blast an email out to everyone in the class occasionally and we pick a spot to meet for drinks about once per quarter. We're meeting up to play pool tomorrow night and right now it's looking like the turnout will be me and half-a-dozen ladies.

Facebook = No. I've heard some horror stories of being found by people who should have stayed in the past. 20th Reunion: I went and had an o.k. time, but it wasn't a life changer. The people who annoyed me then, annoy me still. :)
