New buzz band - Irontom

Los Angeles-based Irontom sites their influences (big, Led Zeppelin power chords crossed with energetic arrangements reminiscent of early Artic Monkeys) or the fact that guitarist Zach Irons and drummer Dylan Williams are the respective son and nephew of rock and roll journeyman Jack Irons, original drummer for Red Hot Chili Peppers and assorted rock legacy (Pearl Jam, Joe Strummer etc). In fact, Zach was taught to play guitar by Chili Pepper veteran and guitar hero John Frusciante.

Irontom, however, is it's own beast, and The Loose EP,  is out now,  Their mission statement: a four track blast of effects-laden grooves, Brit-Pop-inspired climaxes and soaring vocals.

Produced by Alain Johannes (Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, Chris Cornell), The Loose EP is proudly epic and grand, a direct repudiation of lo-fi skuzz littering the indie scene, and a triumphant return to classic rock and roll, complete with big hooks and big swagger, and best of all, a sense of irony-free fun.
